No. These tools only work with the Yardworks 48V battery. Batteries from other brands, including Mastercraft, only work with batteries designated for that particular brand.

Yes. The products come ‘kitted’ which means you get tool and battery. With that said there is the option to buy ‘Tool Only’ SKUs that come without the battery for a lower cost (for consumers who already have a battery from previous purchase). Tool Only is clearly called out on the packaging.

Amp hours represent the capacity of the battery. Higher aH means higher capacity and therefore longer runtime.

Depends on what charger you have and the aH of your battery. The standard 2A charger will charge a 2aH battery in an hour, 4aH battery in 2 hours, 6aH in 3 hours. The 6A Fast Charger will charge the 2aH battery in 20 minutes, 4aH in 40 minutes, and 6aH battery in an hour.

The windings are supported by the housing, they can be cooled by conduction, requiring no airflow inside the motor for cooling.
